Accessibility Statement
Last updated: September 2026
ScanMeSite is committed to making this Site usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, or keyboard-only navigation.
Standard we aim for
We work towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
Measures we've taken
- A “Skip to main content” link for keyboard users;
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element;
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and heading structure;
- Alt text on images, and empty alt on purely decorative images;
- Keyboard support for the navigation menu, search, and homepage image carousel;
- A pause control and manual navigation on the homepage image carousel, and automatic animation reduces to near-instant for anyone with “reduce motion” set in their operating system;
- Text color contrast checked against a 4.5:1 minimum ratio;
- Form fields with associated labels, including visually-hidden labels where a placeholder alone wouldn't be enough.
Known limitations
Some content is embedded from third parties we don't control — Google-served advertisements, in particular — and may not fully meet the same standard. We review these as we become aware of issues.
